No comparison to a super speedway. Non stop wall to wall hard racing. Had a blast. Now for the nine hour drive home......

If I ever went to a NASCAR race it would be a short tack. A super speedway race would get old fast IMO.

We were five rows up in turn four. Once the leaders caught up to the stragglers, it was a half mile of bumpin and pushin. There was no lull in the cars going by.

Since they changed the cars and wont allow them to share radio frequencies, the super speedways have become more fun to watch. The two car draft is almost impossible. More pack racing makes for an overall better race.

I have been to Daytona and camped inside. Loved it. I like Atlanta a lot too. Its a blend between the restrictor plates and short track like bristol. Its small enough to still see everything that's going on.

I watch alot of Nascar but it has lost alot of fun for me. Was way more fun at the track 10 years ago when they allowed it to be fun. Now they made it family camping and took the fun away. I cancelled my Michigan tickets 2 years ago after attending 17 years strait. I have watched Nascar for 47 years. Old days it was on Wide World of Sports. They would show 15 laps then for off to swimming or something stupid then and hour or so go back to race for another 15 laps or so. Every week they would run out of time at 6pm and switch to Wonderful World of Disney. Nothing on news and no internet so you would have to watch the race the next weekend to see who won the previous race. Every week was the same. Talked to Joe Nemacheck about it and he said his parents have those old races taped. We had a good laugh about it.

I have a big display here at the house of Dale Earnhart Sr. with a jacket I have never worn that I bought 5 months before is death. Have a picture signing and a replica signed truck of his hauler we signed after his death. Keep sakes for me forsure.

Ran into Carl Edwards at a gas station in 2006 when no one really knew who he was. Picture with the kids.
