I launch from Gieger Rd often

I usually shoot the rivers and big ditches around the Bay City area. Now I upgraded my boat and plan to hit the bay a little around the mouth.

On another note...can you get a boat out of Geiger Rd. anymore?

It was really tuff last year with. I am going to have to find a new spot / launch I think in 2013. Any good inland lake around here for blasting carp?

There is supposed to be a shallow lake/marsh south of saginaw somewhere that is supposedly loaded with carp. Not sure where exactly or what's its called. I live right at the mouth of the sagnasty river so I have pretty easy bay access.

How is the south side of the bay ? I have never tried it down there I have alway been around Gieger road area.

Right now they are still ice fishing on it. But once it warms up and the carp move in you can walk across them in spots. But I don't think it is any better than the east side.

Lots of duck hunting but no Bowfishing. There are a couple good looking ditches that I've noticed while hunting around there. Gonna give them a shot one the carp move in. As long as they aren't dry.

It's terrible. I there at mud flats right now that had a foot of water in the fall and 2 foot last summer. And they smell terrible.

Yup. It's lower now than it was for duck season last fall. In the fall 2011 duck season I hunted the marsh shoreline in the cattails in a foot of water. Last season I was standing on dry land with the decoys in a few inches of water. This fall I will be in my boat 1/2 mile from the cattails and ill be in less than 2 foot I presume. Loosing a lot of good Bowfishing flats too.

I would say so. Couldn't get a boat in anywhere this morning with the 30mph south wind.
