I got up about 1:30 yesterday morning to get a glass of water and had bowfishing on my mind. I already had the boat hooked up to the truck from fishing the evening before so I grabbed my bow, lights, and generator and struck out. The water on the river is still higher than normal and muddy. I saw very few fish and managed only about 3 shots before I came up on a lighted oil loading dock just before sunrise. I managed to shank a few small spotted gar. I don't know where the decent size fish were at, but there was not a shortage a little ones.
