I am so pumped to shoot this year I was thinking of cutting a 2 x 3 foot hole threw the ice and setting up a ground blind. Drop some corn and wait..

I have been considering it myself. Heard the carp go deep in the winter but they should also be by creek mouths or anywhere else the 02 level is high. To bad we cant shoot pike in michigan, because that would be a blast too. I would just worrie about snapping some on my bow in this subzero temps

If you were fishing under the spearing regulations could one use a Bow?

Last I checked the only thing you could bowfish through the ice was the same as summer. I know a long time ago you could shoot pike and in some other states its still legal. under the rules and regs it states that ONLY hand propelled spears could be used to take pike. but now that they opened bowfishing all year around suckers, gar, carp, etc are all still legal.

Mattman have you shot any of the BAM tournaments??

No I havent, i have been grinding through school and between that and work most my free time has been taken up. I have shot the scum classic a few times and had a blast. I would like to start shooting the BAM stuff once im done.
