What does this mean?

CAUTION - Generators with a modified square wave output can damage this MINN KOTA charger.

Generators with a sine wave output can be used to power this charger.

I have this

63cc, 900 Watts Max/800 Watts Rated Portable Generator
Storm Cat - item#60338 {harbor Freight}

I wouldn't use that generator if I were you. It means it should be used with generators that have a built in surg wave protector. Such kinds are Hondas. My eu2000 has it built it. All in all it's saying dont use it with "lower end" generators that give sudden bursts of waves. Rule of thumb would be if you wouldn't plug your cell phone or computer into it, DON'T plug the charger into it.
Hope this helped ya! :)

Square wave generators are pretty unique, cant imagine harbor frieght sells them, and it would be listed if it were, usually sq wave is for electronic troubleshooting and specific appliance applications. Id say yer GTG.
