Lol I'm on hour 4 of 10 hour trip home. I've had 2 30 minute naps since I went to work Friday morning. Combine that with less than 6 hours sleep 3 nights in a row, my pillow is what I want lol

Made it home early sunday morning, woke up around 330 or so, then did yard work and completed my honey do list.

Ended up taking the boat out to see how she performed in GA waters, and she did awesome. Had 2 friends who went out tonight as well, I called them on the way and they met us at the landing. After checking the boat out for a few minutes we decided to go ahead and go shoot a couple fish. Well then I realized, I had a boat big enough for 4 people!

I called them, they tied their boat off to a tree and we all headed out.

We ended up missing a lot and seeing a couple nice ones. Biggest common weighed in at 9 lbs. Me and Scott both shot at a monster who was high tailing it out of there, and we missed.

But all in all boat did well, went through everything I threw at it!

But enough talking here is the specs,

1760 Legend Craft flatbottom fan boat
85 HP outboard
24 HP Honda fan motor
46" 3 blade arrow prop
28" sides
All welded hull
Side console
8 150w hps lights and 1 400w hps
Push pull steering

This thing is awesome! I love it. She needs a little love thrown at her but overall she is just fine, she is a fish killer and does it without looking pretty. She needs some paint, a little wiring, and some other do dads.

Here is the pictures!

The fan is pretty awesome. It was nice not having to pull weeds off the troller

Was also nice to be able to go through some areas that I've been getting choked away from by grass.

I'm still undecided on push pull steering vs twist steering.

By the end of the night I was able to drive it much much better, time will tell how I feel about it or decide to switch

I set my troller up as push pull steering and I definitely took some getting used to. But I like it a lot now.

How loud is the fan compared to the noise of the generator?

Yeah my troller was push pull as well, so I'm used to it kinda. Steering from the back of the boat with the fan compared to the front with a teller is different but I like it, I'm able to position the boat pretty nice sometimes, other times I bulldoze my way around lol.

The fan really isn't as loud as you would expect. At idle I can hear the Genny running, but when you get on the throttle you can hear it. But it sounds awesomely sick so I love it lol!

In a couple more years I'm planning on getting a 1860 to replace my 1648 for my all around Bowfishing/duckhunting/fishing boat. I'd feel a lot safer in the open water of the great lakes and I'd like to be able to shoot 4 people sometimes.
I think I'm going to put a fan on it along with a troller so I'm not limited to two foot of weed less water.

You know you go to jail for that if you're caught right? :D Even if you only shoot 1.

Upsouth, I was loving the fan last night, I went where I wanted with a vengeance!!

Lol I was smiling all night lol. Plus I can shoot more people now, which is awesome cause I love having friends along. Main reason why I wanted a bigger boat, don't get me wrong I've shot by myself but having friends along to cut up with is more enjoyable.

Absolutely. I'm looking at a 1448 Wednesday but I'd really like to have a 2048.
If you can afford it I'd go at least 1648. I can shoot 3 people pretty easily off mine. My old 1442 it was tight with even 2 people. I think a ideal rig would be a 1860 slick bottom. Enough room for 4 guys but small enough to easily get into skinny water. But a 2072 sure would be awesome for the open water.
