Any wild chance do we have any Entomologist here? Led lights blue or red any idea which might not be attracted to that spectrum? I was thinking of having a couple of very small colored led lights to help see equipment onboard at night?

i purchased one of those blue rope lights on clearance and have it running inside my boat from back to deck. keeps me from tripping over everything when i get off deck.if it wasn't for the dead fish and guts it would look like party boat. LOL

I've seen them in Walmart in the camping section 12v but you may see them there one day and then the next there gone.

I have been out on Lake St Clair at night and the bugs are inches deep in just a couple of hours.
I couldn't see into the water one time on the saginaw bay from all the dead mayflies hitting the water under the lights.
