Welcome to the site! I lived in Henrico for about 12 years. Where are you planning on fishing? The James? I understand that there is some great fishing on the section of the Kanawha Canal between the Bosher Dam (by Chippenham) and downtown. I know some guys with Jon Boats with high mounted motors that would venture up there. I also understand there is a short section of the Kanawha that goes west of the Bosher Dam that has good fishing too. I have seen the intrance, but did not venture up there with my boat.

Been shooting down on lake Gaston with pretty good luck but wanting to get on the James and chesdin being they're a little bit closer to me (Amelia). Scouted a few places down next to whippornock marina on chesdin but with all this rain the water is stained and only got about 1' visibility. You still in VA knight?

I am heading to richmond virginia this weekend for a white water rafting trip but would love to bowfish somewhere in the area! New to bowfishing this year and live in southern maryland. I will be camping at pocohontas state park and would love an idea on where to go! Much appreciated for any advice.
