I just got my first bowfishing setup. I was hoping to get one last year, but things didn't work out. It's a PSE tidal wave with the AMS retriever package. I'm really pleased with the looks of it. I can't wait to get out and try to shoot some snakeheads.

This is the first time I've setup a bow and looking to make sure the rest is installed properly. Here are some pictures. Thanks in advance for your input.

I recently bought the same package. We normally shoot fairly shallow here so I turned my limb bolts out 5 turns. This brought it down to 32#. I also set my rest at a bit of a forward angle as opposed to your perpendicular mount. I don't know that it's right it not. Enjoy your new purchase and go shoot some fish.

How does it shoot? I'm not sure if I'll have time to get out this weekend, but I'm going to try.

It shoots great. Now I just have to get used to it.

fred i thought you were a recurve guy? is it time for me to make a switch as well, i sick of haveing a few pull offs anight. maybe its time to buy a new bow

I only switched for bowfishing because of the closeness in the boat. I kept poking my partner behind me with my lower limb.

haha heard that. compounds are nice and short. Hows the elbow do with a compound?

It's a lot better this season. I try to wear the forearm brace which helps.

Weight is my issue. Nothing is lighter than a recurve
