So I'm wantin to get into Bowfishing this summer so I was wanting to take my old Matthews LX and make it into a Bowfishing bow. Would it be a good one or not? And what are some recommendations yall can make on equipment and any other tips you can give me. Thanks in advance!

The best thing about bowfishing is that there is no right or wrong way to do it. Any bow will work but i would recomend a bow that shoot around 45 lbs give or take about 10 lbs. I found around 40 lbs is plenty to stick a big fish but when you miss you arnt stuck in the ground. I started with a 25lb recurve with an AMS retriever. Worked great and shot alot of fish with it. I did end up with a 40lb recurve and a 50lb oneida for deep water. I like my recurves because they are fast and lite. try to meet up with someone that know what they are doing, and just go out and have fun.
