I don't really know. If I ever shoot over 400s then I could comment. But the 150s I shot over did all I wanted.

I've heard some people that have had 400s complain about glare. But like I said never been over one so I don't really know. But the 150s put out a ton of light.

Maybe the idea behind the 400 HPS is you can wear sunglass at night and sing " I wear my sun glasses at night so I can ......"
Lol. Could be. Can't wait for my ballast kits to get here so I can get my ballast box wired up. Warm water should be here soon.

Hopefully my LED system will be simpler.
LEDs should be easy. Just the light, No ballast and all that. Took me an hour tonight just trying to get the wires straight so I know how to hook them up and what I need to buy to secure everything in the ballast box.

Well, the "hopefully" kicked in. The ballasts I got aren't working. Sending one in to get checked over and hopefully I'll get the problem fixed before next weekends. Not too happy about it. It's getting real close to being to late.

And I took BigSwole's idea for a stick steer and super redneckified it. It ain't pretty but it works.

When I push down on the handle it pushes the button to make it go. The bungee cord pulls it up so when I let go the motor shuts off so I can bring the fish in with out running into shore.
