We are pretty much limited to commons and longnose gar around here. I do like the challenge of hitting the small targets the gar give but you can't beat the fight of a nice big common carp.

I'd have to say the big head and Asian carp just because they need to be gone and it fills good to help thin them down. But gar are great for the challenge!

Don't take long to fill a barrel full of those. Especially on the sagnasty bay.

hard to beat a big common. but the gar make a fun challenge. when im really trying to impress or push the buttons of my friends a nice shad works too

Here in Meaford Ontario, we only have Carp and suckers that are legal to shoot with a bow. Some parts in Ontario have bowfin. We are only allowed to shoot in daylight hours and our season is May 1st to July 31. Most of yous in Michigan will understand as your new laws changed not long ago. I am fighting to get things changed but it is hard by myself. Even though we are on the same water as Michigan here but on the other side. No one bowfishes here and I am a bit of a pioneer. Got stories of being arrested by 4 cruisers with guns drawn and the whole nine yards for a later date. LOL

It was nice when they lifted the seasons last year. Although they still weren't as strict as yours are. Good luck at getting them changed.
