I alway wonder where the gar go when the water cools down. It seems like there all over the place when the water is hot. i know a couple years ago when we had that hot summer the water killed off most the pike in part of a river i was at but there were gar everywhere! no that the water dropped in the low 50's i will be lucky to find one. didnt know if they went deep or if im just looking in the wrong spots

I'm glad to hear you see em under the ice. Can't go to far. I heard a story of a guy waiting for em to swim by his hole then grabbing them. Not sure if it's true but sounds cool. I did find some a couple weeks ago on a flat but did know if they were lost or if that's where they stay
