I'm getting new lights and don't know if I should just put 1 400w metal halide on the front and each side or do 6 150w metal halide two at each location.
I have 4 150 watt HPS lights and it's not quite enough light. I'm planning on adding 4 more 150s and it will be plenty. I've never shot over 400s to compare, but the 150s put off a ton of light.
I think I'm going with the 400 w hps lights on my boat. Can't go wrong with to much light. Found them on eBay for $160 a peace. Thinking one on each side and one in the front. Then I can fill in some space with the led lights I started with.
Yup. If you want to spend the money on the 400s then you can't go wrong. I found my 150s on eBay for a little under $25/each for the guts(no housing or bulb) I think I have about $40/light into them right now.
