When I take my son and wife out for a couple of hours in the evenings to catch a few fish, I always see tons of gar surfacing right in front of us... But I dont take my bow or gear when fishing with them... its just too much activity & cant keep my bow in my hands (kids need new bait, wife etc..)

Then when I go alone, bowfishing in the same spots, it takes me hours just to see a few shooters...

I think there is some conspiracy going on here (LOL!)

That's a good question. I think it's because when you aren't really looking for them 5 an hour seems like a lot. But if you are looking for them, 5 an hour seems like next to none. Maybe that's just me, I don't know.

I should be bowfishing a spot that we see gar all the time rod and reel fishing soon. if there not there then I know theres something going on.lol

I was thinking its sorta like when you are single, hot women never flirt with you or aren't friendly.. then when you are with a woman somewhere or in a relationship etc, you see hot women everywhere and they seem to at least know you exist somehow... hahaha
